Japanese Society of Clinical Anti-Aging Medicine (JSCAM) is the only society of clinical anti-aging medicine in Japan which is recognized in the world, and partners with A4M and World AntiAging Conference. As for cooperation with other countries, Chairman of JSCAM made a presentation at the first conference of Bangkok Society of Anti-Aging Medicine and had ones at A4M, in Chicago and Dubai.And so will have ones at A4M in Las Vegas(12th American Academy of AntiAging Congrese December 2-5
The objectives of JSCAM are to penetrate correct anti-aging medicine to Japanese people, to educate primary-care clinicians, and to research and establish clinical anti-aging medicine suited to Japanese people. JSCAM is a collective academic research body which is made up of a variety of members, such as medical doctors including front-line clinicians, co-medicals, health and beauty industries from pharmaceutical to health foods. JSCAM started operating a system of certified doctors and a system of certified practicing trainers. Nearly ten doctors (as of May, 2004) were certified and practice anti-aging therapies. Certified doctors are required to understand theories of clinical anti-aging medicine and practice that. Doctors will be certified based on tests in future, however, they are currently certified under an interim certification system. Doctors are certified if they are regular members of JSCAM and if they apply for the certification committee after acquiring points by participating in workshops for specialists, general meetings and regular meetings, related conferences. Details will be informed when you become a member of JSCAM.
Academic meetings are held regularly; several ordinary meetings in a year and an annual general meeting. West regional meeting was held in Hakata last year or the third year of JSCAM. Also, the first Clinical Anti-Aging Medicine Japan 2003 was held as the 11th general meeting of JSCAM with invitation of international presenters. On 3rd and 4th of October 2004, the second Clinical Anti-Aging Medicine Japan 2004 was held.
We are determined to focus on cooperation internationally and with other related societies to increase recognition of JSCAM in Japan and to establish “Japanese anti-aging medicine”. |

Our society focuses on academic and medical research and practice of anti-aging, longevity, and rejuvenation. It promotes a variety of research including internal medicine, psychoimmunology, dietetics, molecular biology, pathology, menopause, traditional Chinese medicine, cosmetic surgery, internal secretion, cerebral circulation, obstetrics and genecology, dermatology, digestive organs, urology, obesity, cosmetic internal medicine, sports medicine, clinical dietetics, rehabilitation, preventative dentistry, pharmacology, toxicology, herbal medicine, agricultural chemistry, and functional foods.
